Castelbuono, a beautiful town in the Madonie region, has always given incredible emotions to those who visit it. In addition to the beautiful scenery and food whose deliciousness cannot be described in words, it offers a wide range of leisure and entertainment activities, such as exhibitions, festivals, and fairs. In particular, we would like to draw attention to the world-famous Ypsigrock Festival. What is it all about? It is a much-awaited indie music festival in Sicily attended by tourists and visitors from all over Europe.
The initiative was born in 1997 from the desire of some young people to bring their favorite artists to Castelbuono, the town being known for its tourism and food, but definitely scarce in terms of music and tours. Today Ypsigrock represents a time of sharing, togetherness, intimacy and sense of community, as well as fun for all Indie and Alterative Rock fans.
The festival is held annually in Piazza Castello, where artists perform in a picturesque natural amphitheater, being the main stage enclosed between the Medieval Arch, the steps and the imposing Ventimiglia Castle.
